BOP Button is an emergency alert button that is designed to immediately signal for help or assistance in emergency situations. When activated, it sends a distress signal and activates a 2-way communication to our BOP Response Centre.

When the BOP Button is pressed, it triggers an alarm or distress signal that is transmitted to our BOP Response Centre. Our BOP Response Centre is staffed with trained individuals who will contact you through the BOP Button and take appropriate action, such as contacting emergency services or dispatching assistance. This service is only available in Singapore.

BOP Button can be used for medical emergencies, or personal safety concerns.

At this moment, we are only offering one type of BOP Button. More types of BOP Buttons will be released in the future. Works are currently in progress.

If you accidentally activate the button, you can quickly press the cancel button at the side. Alternatively, if you failed to press the cancel button, remain calm, and wait for a response from the BOP Response Centre. They will attempt to contact you to confirm on your situation. Respond promptly to their inquiries to avoid unnecessary dispatching of emergency services.

The automated voice in the BOP Button supports English, Mandarin, Malay, Tamil, Cantonese, Hokkien, and Teo Chew.

Yes, the BOP Button is waterproof. We highly recommend that you install one BOP Button in each of your bathroom.

No, the BOP Button is designed to be installed on the wall at your home. There is no GPS tracker installed in the BOP Button. In case of an emergency, the emergency services will be heading to your home.

BOP Response Centre

Our trained agents from BOP Response Centre are on standby to assist you.

Yes, the BOP Response Centre operates round the clock, ensuring assistance is available whenever you need it.

Response times can vary, but the aim is to react as swiftly as possible. Typically, the BOP Response Centre staff will call you back within 120 seconds.

Once the BOP Button is pressed, the BOP Response Centre will receive an alert. They will attempt to communicate with you through the BOP Button to assess the situation and send appropriate help.

BOP App

BOP App is an application developed by BOP Pte Ltd to be used with the BOP Buttons. BOP App is required when you wish to activate your BOP Buttons. Easy step by step guide is available in the app. The BOP App also comes with features like adding/removing of BOP Buttons, viewing of BOP Button activation histories, notification to the next-of-kin when the BOP Button is pressed, and more.

Yes, your next-of-kin needs to sign up for an account. You can invite your next-of-kin through the BOP App.

The notification will be through the pushed notification.

No, the next-of-kin do not have access to any of the BOP Buttons that you had installed. Everything will be controlled by you from your account.

You can scan the QR code found in the BOP Button or go to app.buddyofparents.com to access the BOP App.

Installation and Maintenance

BOP Buttons are commonly installed on the wall, around the house, where they are within easy reach, such as the living room, bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen.

The BOP Button requires LTE network to connect to the server. We recommend avoiding enclosed areas with weak signal strengths. Check against your mobile phone for the best signal strength locations.

BOP Button can be easily installed in two methods. One method is to install using the mounting plate, and the other is to install directly onto the wall. By using the mounting plate, you will need to screw the mounting plate into the wall before sticking the BOP Button to the mounting plate.

No maintenance is required. You can leave the BOP Button alone with peace of mind. Our system at the backend will check if your BOP Button is online and will alert us when your BOP Button is offline. Our battery is designed to last for 3 years.

For each residential address, you can install up to 10 BOP Buttons. You will need to purchase additional BOP Buttons through the BOP App.

Cost and Subscription

Each BOP Button is now sold at promotional price of $99.00 (usual price $200.00). You may purchase up to 10 BOP Buttons for each residential address. A service subscription is required for each residential address. This service subscription is available at $20.00 per month and the contract is for 24 months. All prices are inclusive of GST.

No. Only one subscription plan is available. At BOP, we keep things simple.

No, at BOP, we are open with our pricing. You just need to pay a promotional price of $99.00 (usual price $200.00) for the BOP Button and $20.00 per month for 24 months for the service subscription.

Contract and Cancellation Policies

Yes, the service subscription comes with a 24 months contract.

To terminate the service, you can log in to our BOP App. Look for the termination page and submit a termination request. Our customer service will contact you once we have received the request.
If the agreement is terminated with 18 or more months remaining on the subscription term, the early termination fee shall be $120.00.
If the agreement is terminated with less than 18 months but with 12 or more months remaining on the subscription term, the early termination fee shall be $80.00.
If the agreement is terminated with less than 12 months but with 4 or more months remaining on the subscription term, the early termination fee shall be $60.00.

Yes, in the unfortunate event that the BOP Button user has passed away, you may provide us with the death certificate, and we will cancel the service for you.

Purchasing and Delivery

You can log in to your BOP App account, and purchase for more BOP Buttons from the shop.

Upon receiving your payment, it will take about 3 to 5 working days for the BOP Button to be delivered to the shipping address.

User Privacy

No, there is no camera installed in the BOP Button. Your safety is our number one concern.

No, the BOP Button will be on standby mode if the BOP Button is not pressed. All recordings, or communications are turned off during standby mode. The BOP Button will only come alive when you press the red alert button.

When the BOP Button is pressed, our BOP Response Centre agents will be alerted on their dashboard and the agent assigned to your call will be able to access to your information to contact you. Information is usually kept confidential and is used only during emergency.
